Question by : What in the world is this coin?
Okay, so I have this 1964 silver Kennedy half dollar... but it looks like it is just a mold and inside there is another coin (which I can't see). I can even hear it moving in there when I shake it. I am guessing that the coin inside is an actual 1964 half dollar... but why in the world is it encased in a replica of itself?
It's something my husband has had in his family for years. No one has a clue what it is.

I don’t know what the mold is. However, based on my red book a 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar is worth $ 8 – $ 10 if in the MS63 – MS65 range of condition.
